One of things the Lord had me establish when I first started this ministry was an intercessory prayer coverage called Golden Altar of Incense. The purpose of this ministry is to cry out to the Lord on behalf of the families served and the needs of the ministry. I am pleased to announce Darlene Muffler will be serving as the Leader of the Golden Altar of Incense intercessory prayer ministry. Darlene is a powerful intercessor with a heart to see families set free from abuse and walking in the power of the Holy Spirit. Look for blog entries from Darlene with information on how you can join her in interceding for families in abuse!! Welcome Darlene!!

Hello to all! Winding down from theTears of Joy Silent Auction/Dinner fundraiser. God was truly glorified in everything that was done at this event. The HORM clients who shared their stories of how God has taken them from "tears of abuse to tears of joy" was such a blessing. Many of the 125 participants cried "tears of joy" as they heard these stories. The battling for silent auction items was again fierce and fun! Pastor Eric Warren from Freedom Church in Valley Park, MO simply blessed us beyond belief with his anointed singing.
Now it's time to wind down things for 2009 and hear what the Lord would have this ministry do in 2010. As I wind down the year I'm helping a lady secure housing. Much prayer is needed as she needs $800 raised to get into an apartment HORM has found for her. She's been off drugs for 3 years, is working and making healthy decisions for her life. Please pray that the Lord will give us favor in raising these funds. She's open to hearing the Gospel so pray she will receive and accept the Lord Jesus Christ.
Thanks to all who support this ministry. To God be the Glory - Carla

Hello Friends,
I just get so excited when I see God moving in the lives of people. I had paired a young lady I had been ministering too, with a Spiritual Encourager. This young lady had fled her abusive relationship and was on her path of healing. A Spiritual Encourger is a a loving Christian who has volunteered their time to walk along side a HORM client as a source of encouragement and prayer partner. The encourager has been meeting weekly with this young lady and began to take her to church. The people at the church just simply loved on her and shared with her the tangible love of Jesus. She was fed the Gospel both taught and preached. When we do ur part God does His. This young lady re-dedicated her life to Christ and is so excited about her re-newed relationship with Jesus, that she is now bringing her sister! She is continuing onher path of healing and not looking to return back to her relationship of abuse. It is so wonderful how God turns our "ashes into beauty"!

Hello Friends, God is doing some amazing work in the hearts of the women that I've been ministering to one-on-one. A young lady today has begun to work towards forgiveness of her father. She's taking it before God in prayer to release the anger and hurt, so please keep her in your prayers. Another young lady I minister to, fled to this country from another to be free from abuse. God has shown up in her life in a powerful way. One of the children she had left back home had become seriously ill. We began to pray for healing of the child almost 6 months ago. She informed me yesterday that her child is healed and does not require medication for the illness. Praise be to God! Keep praying my friends for all of the families this ministry touches. It is only God that can set people free to serve Him! Until next time!

Hello Friends,
Today I am rejoicing over the "one"! Jesus said we should rejoice over the one that is lost and then found. Paul wrote that we shold still rejoice in our relationship with the Lord even in the midst of difficult trials. So today I am rejoicing over a young lady I have been ministering too for the last 6 months. She recently moved from her tranistional housing into her own place. We had agreed to keep meeting so that she would continue to have a positive support netwrok to help her remain out of abusive relationships and continue on her path of healing. It had been a month since she had moved and I had not heard from her. Today, she called the Women's Refuge Center! Despite a few small setbacks she is still motivated to continue on her journey of healing and freedom. Today we made arrangements to connect her to a HORM Spiritual Encourager; to attend a HORM partner church on Sunday; and assist her with furniture needs. So today, I invite you to join me and rejoice over the "one"!
